How it started...

1993
When the festival in the year 1993 started, this time in Žlutá plovárna (Yellow swimming-bath) in the valley of Malá Skála in the heart of Bohemian Paradise, it was really path-breaking. Drssing room for stars was in the sitting room of one close family house. For example Kamil Střihavka and the Stage was made of metal rack and sound systemband Katapult shared one sofa was fixed to the street lighting pole.

1994 - 2007
The line-up of the second year of BN in the year 1994 (the first one has not survived) originated on the board written on the typewriter machine ushered in the highlight of the cultural summer in Malá Skála - Benátská noc. As the time went on , BN which wants to take place at the same time - the last July´s weekend - and wants to have the same schedule of the line-up, started to swell. The second and third year was in Žlutá plovárna and the fourth and fifth moved to the meadow near the river and from the sixth the festival took place along the running river Jizera.

Rock Friday, pop Saturday and pop-folk Sunday supported from the beginning Neckyáda (nontraditional boats competition) on the river Jizera and the football match between the local team and 1st RFC Spark team and the supporting programme is in these days all aroun Malá Skála.

In 1999 the festival became the cosponsor of the semifinal competition of amateur bands Jim Beam Rock and in the year 2000 was the final right here. Every year is the number of performers higher - in 1993: 6 bands on 1 stage, 15th year: 115 bands on 4 stages.
We make the backstage for bands every year better and the area for visitors as well - the new Press centre has originated as well as VIP zone, festival camp, expanding place for cash desks, info system, covered areas.

Since 1992 have more than 1000 concerts of native as well as foreign bands taken place. Formations as Anthrax, Die Happy with Marta Jandová, The Gathering, Edguy, The 69 Eyes, Black Majesty, Suzi Quatro and many others have visited our festival.
Important was the year 2006 when the festival visited the band Scorpions.
